Dan, embodies a profile of excellence. He boasts a top-tier academic background, along with accolades such as the Anthony Sarola Exemplary Clinician Award and the John R. Magel Clinical Research Award, both earned from Touro University. Dr. Vapne is a Residency trained physical therapist and a Board-certified orthopedic specialist, renowned for his proficiency in addressing a spectrum of concerns including low back pain, neck pain, Temporomandibular joint dysfunction, headaches, migraines, and post-surgical rehabilitation. His exceptional track record positions him within the top 5% of US physical therapists for outstanding outcomes. Notably, he excels in the treatment of children with conditions such as torticollis and developmental delays. Beyond his clinical prowess, Dr. Vapne extends his influence to academia as a Faculty member at Touro University's new Times Square campus. His research endeavors center on advancing therapy value through innovative tracking devices.

Josh graduated as a Doctor of physical therapy from Touro University Health and Sciences in 2018. He started working at Advantage Physical Therapy as an aide back in 2013 and immediately made an impact on both patients and employees. Josh naturally gravitated back to Advantage during the start of his career and is now owner and director since 2021. Starting at a young age, Josh was influenced in the world of health and fitness from his mother, a marathon runner turned body builder after injuring her knee while training. As soon as he was old enough, Josh joined a gym and has been a fitness enthusiast since. Josh has been a personal trainer for over 15 years but felt limited at times in his knowledge to help his clients who were experiencing chronic pain, nagging unresolved injuries and acute flare ups. It was then when he decided to challenge himself and obtain his Doctorate in PT in order to help a broader group of people.Josh has been using his knowledge and skills as a Physical therapist and trainer to help a wide range of people dealing with many ailments. He prides himself in making sure his patients are not only getting better; but truly look forward to their session with him which has an everlasting impact on the remainder of their day and on. You can see the love Josh has for his profession and is always looking to improve his ability to help his patients, employees, family and friends with a smile on his face and the big PT motto is his life. Dr, Wendy Oppenheimer-Martorella PT, DPT, CEEAA

Lead Physical Therapist | Schroth therapist

Wendy Oppenheimer has been in practice for over 35 years, devoting the last 10 years to Orthopedic injuries affecting the spine and extremities, Geriatrics, gait, and balance issues. Wendy is a network therapist for the Hospital for Special Surgery. She is an adjunct professor for the New York University DPT program and clinical instructor for several NY Metropolitan area Doctorate of Physical Therapy programs. Wendy is trained in the Joseph Pilates method and holds certifications as a Schroth Therapist, HSS Hip Specialist, Exercise Expert for the Aging Adult, and Tai Chi for Rehabilitation.

Diane Digregorio PT, M.S, CEEAA

Sr. Physical Therapist | Geriatric Specialist

Diane is a NYS licensed Physical Therapist with 30 + years experience in the field. Diane received her baccalaureate from Hunter College school of Physical Therapy and has her Masters degree in Exercise Physiology. Diane received her Certified Exercise Expert for Aging Adults certification from the American Physical Therapy Association. Her background includes work at Rusk Rehabilitation Institute where she gained experience in adult rehabilitation including neurology, Spinal cord injuries, amputees, strokes, and Chest PT.  Diane also has experience in Outpatient Orthopedics, Home Care Physical Therapy and Geriatric Care. Her clinical interests are geriatric rehabilitation, gait and balance training, vestibular rehabilitation and orthopedic rehabilitation. Diane is a senior therapist at Advantage PT has been a dedicated employee with Advantage Physical Therapy for more than 15 years. In her spare time, Diane enjoys reading, biking, spending time at the beach and spending time with her family and friends.

David Marcello PT.

Sr. Physical Therapist

Dave graduated in 1992 from Daemen College in Buffalo, NY. He concurrently holds the position of Director of Therapy Services for Long Island Jewish Medical Center and Physical Therapist at Advantage Physical Therapy. Dave also held the position of Director of Rehabilitation for Schneider Children's Hospital. Dave specializes in the treatment of sports-related injuries from pre-teen to adults. Areas of particular strength are soccer, football and baseball. Dave is also trained in using muscle energy techniques in the treatment of pelvic / sacroiliac dysfunction. Dave is well known in the community for coaching travel soccer, baseball and softball teams.
